Boilerhouse Replacement, Gosforth Academy
We delivered the full replacement of the existing boilerhouse serving Gosforth Academy, upgrading ageing infrastructure to improve reliability and energy efficiency across the school estate. Groundworks and enabling works were carried out during school closure periods to minimise disruption.
Scope of Works
- Installation of new underground gas main and incoming supply
- Full removal of existing boiler plant and associated pipework
- Installation of new floor-standing high-efficiency boilers
- Installation of multiple heating circuits serving different areas of the school
- Installation of new gas-fired hot water generation systems
- Replacement of distribution pipework using stainless steel press-fit systems
- Integration with upgraded BMS controls

The new installation comprised modular floor-standing boilers, dedicated heating circuits, and modern control systems to provide improved system performance, control, and long-term maintainability.

Works were phased around the academic calendar, with key elements completed during holiday periods to maintain continuity of building operation.
