We delivered the full refurbishment of a heating plantroom serving occupied ward blocks within Sunderland Royal Hospital - working within a live clinical environment throughout, with a temporary boiler plant installed to maintain uninterrupted heating and hot water services for the duration.

Scope of Works

  • Removal of existing boiler plant and primary pipework
  • Installation of new high-efficiency modular boiler plant
  • Replacement of primary and secondary pumping systems
  • Installation of new stainless steel press-fit pipework
  • Installation of a new common flue system
  • Upgrade of plantroom controls and BMS interface

Plant & Systems

The installation comprised modular condensing boilers, energy-efficient circulation pumps, and a new control panel integrated with the existing BMS to improve monitoring and operational performance.
